The Virginia Gold Cup, one of the nation’s largest steeplechase events and often considered Virginia’s answer to the Kentucky Derby, will run without spectators this year.
The House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee is expected to pass the INVEST in America Act. Included in the funding is the Horse Transportation Safety Act, which would ban the use of double deck trailers to haul horses on the interstate. (more…)
