Standing Ovation by Ovation Riding: Robbie Bartington and David Wallis

Every week Horse Nation teams up with Ovation Riding to recognize those doing good in the horse world. This week we recognize Robbie Bartingtong and David Wallis of Woodfield Animal Sanctuary.

As the BBC reported in mid-January, Robbie Bartington and David Wallis had never planned to turn their retirement home into an animal rescue facility. They moved to the Gower Peninsula in South Wales with their own animals to enjoy their retirement. However, they agreed to take in a Welsh Mountain Pony in need of shelter and since then they have rescued over 300 horses and are now looking after more that 100 animals at their accidental sanctuary. Their home has become Woodfield Animal Sanctuary.
