Ecovet Presents Mind Your Melon: Butterfly Exercise

This beats grid work any day…

Okay, so maybe it doesn’t necessarily beat grid work, but this certainly is an interesting and challenging way to change things up. Olympic show jumper Luciana Diniz says the horse’s welfare is my priority as well as to create a deep connection with the horse, but she also puts great effort into working toward achieving a better performance with her horses at home. One of her approaches? The Butterfly Method. Check out this butterfly exercise below.

We’re in awe of the timing, control and — let’s be honest — pattern memorization that goes into this. Go Luciana Diniz and go riding!

Mind Your Melon videos showcase equestrians who have decided to protect their noggins by wearing a helmet. Do you have a Mind Your Melon submission to share? Send it to [email protected].
