Do you perform night checks at your barn? Kentucky Performance Products details why it’s a good practice with some tips.
From the Kentucky Performance Products Tips & Topics blog:
Night checks are a very important part of horse care. Topping off water buckets, providing additional concentrate to hard keepers, feeding the last hay meal of the day, picking stalls and changing blankets are common late-night chores.
While you are taking care of the barn, check in with each horse. Taking note of your horse’s overall attitude and condition during the night check gives you an opportunity to catch little problems before they become big ones. And there is nothing better than the sound of happy horses munching hay in a quiet barn!
