World Equestrian Brands Drone Cam: Beach Ride

I’m calling it: drone cams are the new helmet cams. Check out this beach ride from a new perspective!

Drones are the next big thing for capturing unique video: remotely-operated, they’re giving viewers a brand-new angle to see landscapes, cityscapes and sporting events. If you watched Rolex online, you noticed the first-ever drone cam to track the U.S.’s premier event (our sister site Eventing Nation got the scoop).

While drones are also really good at crashing (due to a variety of factors) the technology is constantly improving and becoming more accessible to the amateur videographer — which is great news for those of us who love to vicariously live through other folks’ YouTube videos. Surprisingly, most horses (at least on YouTube) don’t seem too upset by a buzzing, hovering device that looks like some kind of government spacecraft in miniature.

Check out this beautiful video of a beach gallop a la drone:

Pretty cool! We’ll continue to bring you the best of both helmet cams and drone cams each week.
