Think it’s hot outside? That’s nothing compared with movie critic Amanda Ronan’s picks for steamy summer viewing.
As spring turns to summer things are getting a little bit hotter…
It might cool you down to watch Jamie Foxx riding in the snow in Django Unchained, available at Redbox now. Then again it might not.
If the heat becomes absolutely unbearable and you swoon, perhaps Johnnie Depp and Armie Hammer will come to your rescue. Just in case they don’t come, you can catch them in their new movie, The Lone Ranger, opening in theatres July 3rd.
When it gets too hot to muck my own stalls, I plan on hiring the Winchester boys…or at least dream about hiring them while I watch the TV series Supernatural.
Glenn the Geek and his fellow Horse Husbands might enjoy it if all us ladies removed our clothes, like Emmy Award-winning actress Kristen Johnston in this PETA ad, to beat the heat.
But if we do, so should they…
Go Riding!… clothing optional.
About the Author
Amanda’s experience with horses is just as eclectic as her taste in movies. She has dabbled in almost every discipline from eventing to team penning to fox hunting. She started riding when she was 8 with her local 4-H club in Western performance events. She moved on to the AQHA circuit with her Quarter Horse, “Aggie,” when she was 12 and he was a green 2 year old. Through college she held a working student position at Seahorse Sporthorses, owned by Terri Adams, where she was introduced to the wonderful world of show jumping and eventing. Along with Aggie, who just turned 20 years old, she has two OTTBs in her herd named “Gump” and “Lizard.” Amanda continues her jumping training with Ms. Adams and works on that necessary evil also known as dressage with Mimi Burch of Blue Moon Farm.
