Kate Carlson: My amazing fiancee. He humors me with rides but his true love is shown after he built or rather… rebuilt and renovated the barn on our property so that I could move my horses home (he did a beautiful job btw with custom Triton stalls and down to the little details like name plates I cried at how beautiful it was when he finished)… set up paddocks… and has selflessly cleaned stalls and fed ponies through the tough early stages of my pregnancy. I remind myself daily that I really am a lucky girl who has someone who supports it and I really think enjoys it despite his ignorance

Chelsey Miller: My horse husband and fellow vet waiting with our very sick orphan foal project to wake up after anesthesia when we were treating her infected joints – he is always there to help feed the horses in the worst weather, trailer horses here, there, and everywhere, and generally always right by my side with all of my little rescue equine “lemons”

Ashly Snell: How about a little love for the “horse girlfriend?” Taught her how to ride so we could do things together and now she accompanies me on horse adventures and says she runs the “food truck.”

Krista T Forti: Filip and Branam. Filip has camped overnight at the farm with me when Branam was sick, has driven with me to Michigan from Illinois for surgery at MSU, held my hand and let me cry on his shoulder while telling me everything will be ok. Filip has helped hand walk, medicate (and he hates needles!), night checks full with pictures to reassure me everything is ok! He has learned to halter, lead, groom, learned to distinguish a happy B and B in pain. He has helped my family bale and stack hay and learned and helped with other barn chores. I have thousands of great pictures of the two of them but I think this picture sums it all up. Quiet, peaceful beauty and a new friendship to last a lifetime.
