Horse life in 17 syllables.

Each morning we release a fresh new horsey haiku, or set of haikus, into the Internet ether. Today’s haikus come from reader Harley Cozewith, who cites her 3/4 draft horse, Chevy, as her muse.

Late, need to tack fast

Covered in mud an inch thick,

Is that you in there?

Grey horse is a pig.

Sleeps warm each night in his poop

Blue shampoo stock climbs

I muck your foul stall

Clean for just one brief moment

Before nature calls

Awww, Chevy! Give your mom a break already. Grey horses will be grey horses, I suppose. Here he is all cleaned up and “in the zone” at the American Eventing Championships:
