For this review, we used Calming Oil on two different horses during show conditions. It was applied along the spine before bedtime to support rest, and at the nostril area prior to each of three performances throughout the day to encourage calmness and focus.

One of the horses tends to become anxious in new environments, especially during shows away from home. After applying Calming Oil along the spine before bedtime, we noticed improved relaxation and more settled behavior overnight. The horse appeared to rest more comfortably, which translated into a calmer demeanor the following day. Applied at the nostrils before each run, the horse entered the arena with a more focused, steady mindset, showing improved performance and composure.
The other horse is naturally energetic and reactive, what many would call a “hot” horse. With use of Calming Oil, we saw a noticeable shift in how this horse handled both downtime and performance time. At night, the horse settled more easily in a show environment, resting better despite being away from home. Before each performance, application at the nostrils helped take the edge off, allowing that natural energy to stay productive rather than overwhelming. The result was a more controlled, confident performance in the arena.
