I Spy Horses: My Friend McKenzie’s
During my adventures and travels I always take photos of the horse-related items I see along the way. Enjoy these photos of horse-related pieces spotted at my friend McKenzie’s house while we were enjoying Friendsgiving.
I bet you’re thinking My Friend McKenzie’s is some museum — possibly an art store or maybe some quaint shop in the middle of a small town that has roots deeply buried in the equestrian world. That couldn’t be more wrong. My Friend McKenzie’s is, quite literally, my friend McKenzie’s house.
While there for Friendsgiving, it was quite apparent that she has more equine-related pieces than most museums and western stores. The story is that she didn’t actually choose most of these decorations. Apparently, they came with the house. I have my doubts. After all, I saw the number of horses in her pastures. But I digress…
So, while she wasn’t looking, I snapped some photos (nowhere is safe). She’s either going to love this article or completely write me off as a friend and never invite me back (to be fair, I didn’t creep in her bedroom… maybe next time).
Without further ado, here are the horse-related items I came across in her home:
McKenzie must have a really good cleaning lady because these babies are sparkling!
I’m going to guess that these little figurines are a cross between a Tennessee Walker and a giraffe.
This little guy was one of my favorites in the house.
This statue was probably deceivingly heavy.
The leg placement is…interesting on this one.
I’d like to name this one, “Crazy Eye.”
This plate and cup were delicately pretty.
Me over here wondering if that’s a photo of one of her past horses.
My dark, healthcare humor is about to come out but, I believe I have found what I’d like my urn to look like.
This photo totally makes her entire stairwell.
I should have taken this one home with me and seen how long it took her to realize it was gone because it would fit perfectly in a spot I’m trying to fill in my house.
Horses, horses, and more horses.
This has to be one of the horses on the farm?
I’d sleep here. Any more turkey and I probably would have.
Find the horses around you and go riding, Horse Nation!
