Ecovet Presents Mind Your Melon: Sand Gallop

This doesn’t look like a bad way to get in a little gallop.

For racehorses to compete at the level at which their owners and trainers need them to compete, they have to be incredibly fit. Their fitness and nutrition regimens are finely tuned, designed to keep them healthy and in race shape. Part of that routine includes a morning gallop. For these horses, this gallop is being done in some nice soft sand near a beach. Not a bad way to exercise, eh?

Also, we’re in awe of the exercise riders. They put in as much work as the horses so that they can hang with their steeds. And they always remember to mind their melons.

Mind Your Melon videos showcase equestrians who have decided to protect their noggins by wearing a helmet. Do you have a Mind Your Melon submission to share? Send it to [email protected].
