BreyerFest Celebration Goes Virtual

Rather than cancelling or postponing its annual event, Breyer has decided to go virtual. On July 10 – 12, 2002, BreyerFest will be hosted virtually from Breyer’s New Jersey headquarters.

Pequannock, NJ (May 14, 2020) — Breyer’s iconic annual event, BreyerFest, traditionally held at the famed Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, is going virtual for 2020 on July 10-12! Breyer fans of all ages from around the world will be able to participate in all the activities that make BreyerFest unique: performances from breeds and disciplines across the board, arts and crafts workshops, seminars from equine industry experts and Breyer artists, behind the scenes interviews, film previews, model horse shows, charity auctions, shopping and so much more!

In 2019, BreyerFest drew record crowds of over 30,000 fans to its annual home at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington. For 2020, in response to the COVID-19 situation, Breyer is taking the unprecedented step of shifting to a Virtual BreyerFest, broadcasting live from Breyer headquarters on July 10-12. “Virtual BreyerFest: Celtic Fling” was announced to fans in April, and the response has been enormous. Breyer’s Senior Events Manager, Jaime O. Potkalesky shares, “We are tremendously proud to be part of a community that is eager to find ways to share their unique horses during these unprecedented times. We are thrilled at the outpouring of support we’ve received from our fans. Every one of our partners jumped at the chance to be part of the first ever Virtual BreyerFest.”

BreyerFest, now in its 31st year, is a uniquely horse-centric experience with something for everyone, and this year’s theme highlights beautiful horse breeds native to the British Isles and Ireland as well as other Celtic-inspired guests. For this year’s Celebration Horse, BreyerFest honors three-day eventing superstar Ballynoe Castle RM, a 2000 Irish Sport Horse owned by Carl and Cassie Segal and ridden and trained by Buck Davidson. All Three-Day Ticket holders will receive their very own Breyer model of this amazing horse!

Also highlighted this year are horses newly introduced to the Breyer stable: “The Gangsters” – Tony Da Pony and Bugsy Maloney – a pair of winning driving ponies; Avatar’s Jazzman, a champion eventing Morgan; the beautiful Hawkes Ranch hitch Clydesdales; Sherry Cervi’s world class barrel racer, Stingray, and the amazing Tempel Lipizzans.

Breyer, a finalist for the American Horse Publications’ 2020 Equine Industry Vision Award, is celebrating 70 years of bringing horses and kids together, and this year’s BreyerFest is no exception. The ability to meet and greet so many breeds of horses will be showcased online, and kids (and adults) can learn to draw, paint, and make miniature tack for their horses! In addition, the silent & live auction events are highlights of the weekend. This year, proceeds from these will go to benefit COVID-19 relief programs, as well as those that benefit child and animal welfare.

There are many fun, free activities for all who are interested, with increased benefits for ticketed attendees. A limited number of 3-day and single day tickets are available while supplies last. All tickets come with an exclusive special edition Breyer model. To learn more about the full slate of activities and to purchase tickets, visit www.BreyerHorses.com/BreyerFest.
