Generally speaking, if I’m thinking of the ultimate ranch partner to be of use in the cattle pens, my mind goes instantly to the Quarter horse (though I’m starting to embrace the Thoroughbred as well). I’ve also ridden some very catty little Arabians and a Mustang who loved to chase cattle up and down rugged mountains and in the sorting pens.

My mind does not immediately leap to the mule. Although after watching this video, I’m wondering if a mule should be my first choice…

All that AND without a bridle! What a talented animal.
