Wrangler National Finals Rodeo: Night Four Recap

Last night was the fourth night of the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo, presented by Teton Ridge. Here are the standings after round four.

Night Four of the 2025 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo strutted in like it was wearing its Sunday best and immediately decided to start a mosh pit. After multiple nights of dust storms and wild rides, the cowboys, cowgirls, and the fans were bracing themselves. The arena, the stock, and maybe even the steer wrestling steers collectively decided it was time to crank the intensity dial into “oh heck yes.”

The fourth round threw down new surprises like a reboot nobody saw coming. That alone reminded everyone: in Vegas, it’s never over ’til it’s over.

The competition remains tighter than a pair of boots fresh off the rack. Some cowboys are nursing bruises, some are grinning wide, and a couple are probably wondering exactly which miracle they rubbed to survive another wild night. With standings still up for grabs and more dust yet to settle, Night Four reminded us that at the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo, the only predictable thing is unpredictability.

Here are your updated standings and earnings, because as long as the dirt’s flying and the bulls/or broncs/or steers are bucking, the money, the drama, and the bragging rights just keep getting bigger.

Bareback Riding

Night four in bareback riding was like the horses decided to host their own rodeo after-party and someone forgot to send the memo to gravity. Wacey Schalla climbed aboard “No Whiskey’s Redlicious Meats” and turned in a blistering 87.25-point ride to clinch the round and a sweet payday. A few other cowboys held on long enough to earn checks, but a handful looked like they were auditioning for a rodeo blooper reel. Between bucks that felt like rocket launches and landings that had folks wincing in the stands, night four for bareback was equal parts wild circus, cowboy courage, and “hold onto your hat (and maybe your spine).”

Steer Wrestling

Night four in steer wrestling was like the steers all showed up to Vegas ready for chaos — and the bulldoggers answered with full cowboy bravado. Will Lummus and Tucker Allen both slammed in 4.0-second runs to split the round win, each walking away with a sweet payday of $32,824. Meanwhile, some other guys looked like they showed up to wrestle pumpkins instead of steers, maybe they got the memo wrong. Between the lightning-fast takedowns, the steers trying their best to moonwalk instead of hit the dirt, and one or two landings that probably had chiropractors on standby, night four was equal parts “gravity check” and “did you SEE that?!” It was rough, ridiculous, and exactly the kind of steer-wrestling madness we tune in for.

Team Roping

Night four of team roping was like watching two brain-cells crash into perfect coordination and somehow, sometimes, it worked. The headers and heelers saddled up, loop in hand, eyes locked on steers that apparently skipped their morning coffee and decided “not today.” Some teams clicked like they were rehearsed for Broadway, swinging those ropes around like lasso-wielding ninjas and trapping steers faster than you can say “yee-haw.” Others, well, those steers got a little more freedom than planned and one even exited the arena looking like it had just earned lifetime “un-ropeable” status. Night four roping delivered the grit and the guts, and a little bit of chaos.

Saddle Bronc Riding

Night four of saddle bronc riding came in like the broncs had collectively attended a seminar titled “How to Ruin a Cowboy’s Night in Three Bucks or Less.” Horses were launching, twisting, and putting on so much attitude you’d think they were fighting for a fashion contract. Stetson Wright came out and reminded everyone why style, timing, and sheer stubborn determination still matter in Vegas, nailing a ride that slapped the arena back into silence before the crowd erupted. A few other cowboys made it look easy, a few got airborne in ways not approved by physics, and at least one hit the dirt so dramatically it should’ve gotten a slow-motion replay. Night four broncs weren’t here to play, but it sure was fun to watch the cowboys try.

Even Stetson Wright’s victory lap was a wild ride — and this one wasn’t in the script. Fortunately, he’s had some experience with this type of ride.

Tie-Down Roping

Night four of tie-down roping kicked off like the calves knew it was do-or-die time, sprinting out of the chute like they had streaming deadlines. The ropers bolted off their horses and laser focus, ropes flew through the air like lassos on Red Bull. Then Kincade Henry swooped in, laid down a run so slick it almost looked rehearsed and in a field full of dust, adrenaline, and busted dreams, that ride felt like poetry. Others gave it their all, calves zig-zagged like they were trying to shake off bad luck, and a few ropers may have briefly considered running away from the sport. Night four wasn’t gentle but it was wild, gritty, and exactly the kind of madness we come for.

Barrel Racing

Night four of barrel racing galloped in with full chaos‑meets‑grace energy: horses bursting out of the gate like they’d snuck extra coffee and leaning hard around every turn, while dust clouds formed like they were part of the show. Then Tricia Aldridge flew through the pattern on Adios Pantalones with the smoothness of someone who decided “today I outrun the timer and the other competitors.” Others came out swinging, some almost nailed it and some took scenic barrel‑hugs instead of clean turns. Night four was fast, flashy, and downright cinematic, the kind of barrel racing chaos that Vegas rodeo dreams are made of.

Bull Riding

Night four of bull riding lit up the arena like someone threw a match into the haystack: fast, chaotic, and absolutely unmissable. The bulls came out swinging with the kind of fury that suggests they skipped breakfast, lunch, and maybe even their anger management classes. A few riders managed to cling on like they had velcro boots and nerves of steel, but a handful got launched into the kind of airborne tours that would make a stuntman jealous. Then Bryce Jensen showed up, stuck a ride so solid it almost made the bull pause and reconsider its life choices. Others walked off dusty, bruised, and probably reconsidering every decision that led them to sign up for this. Night four didn’t just raise the stakes, it shoved them through the roof.
