Reader Photo Challenge: Inspirational Horsewomen

In honor of Women’s History Month.

March is Women’s History Month and if there’s one thing not in short supply in the horse world, it’s inspirational horsewomen. We wanted to see the women you looked up to, readers, and you as usual delivered.

“My daughter inspires me. Bayleigh always has a good attitude, is willing to try, and loves her ponies no matter what. She wants to learn and applies herself. She is pictured here with my self-trained Paint pony. The two best things I’ve ever done, in harmony,” Miranda Hassler. Photo by Miranda Hassler.

“My mom is my role model. She is the most brave woman I’ve ever known. A few years ago, she had to bail off an Arabian and she broke 9 ribs, lacerated a kidney, and punctured her lung. She lost her confidence that day and she has been regaining it ever since. She also has systemic lupus and she rides through the pain. She is my best friend. This is her riding my ottb Spruce Ridge Lady,” Cecelia Robertson. Photo by Cecelia Robertson.
