Many liberty trainers teach their horses elaborate routines that are incredibly impressive to watch, but simple act of a horse choosing to stay with a human, free of restraints, is a truly beautiful thing.

I think we all like to believe our horses enjoy spending time with us as much as we enjoy spending time with them and many of them truly enjoy their human companions. One of my favorite demonstrations of the horse/human bond is liberty training. Yes, many liberty trainers teach their horses elaborate routines that are incredibly impressive to watch, but simple act of a horse choosing to stay with a human, free of restraints, is a truly beautiful thing.
