Everyone’s horses are a little fresh this time of year… all over the world.
As we all know well, horses get fresh at the drop of a hat, especially where the weather is concerned: first chilly day of the fall? Horses are fresh. First warm day of the spring? Horses are fresh. Particularly windy day in the winter? Horses are fresh. The sun is shining too bright in the summer? Horses are fresh. (Obviously, it doesn’t take much… horses are just the worst.)
As Dan Steers of Double Dan Horsemanship in Australia preps his liberty team for Equitana Melbourne, he too has to contend with fresh horses: while those liberty performances might lead you to believe that nothing ever goes wrong for these master horsemen, much like, well, all of us, horses will be horses, no matter the discipline.
That said, a fresh, naughty liberty horse might be way more fun to watch than a fresh, naughty hunter.

Well, at least they’re all having a good time.
