SpectraVET Perf. of the Week: Amberleigh Moore

Someone was clearly paying attention during No-Stirrup November.

The National Finals Rodeo taking place right now in Las Vegas, Nevada has seen record-shattering performances on its first six nights, with the final four performances scheduled to run nightly through Saturday. It’s hard to narrow down the best of the best to just one or two to highlight this week, but when we saw this winning run from Amberleigh Moore from Round 4, we knew we had to share.

Moore and her mare CP Dark Moon “Paige” clearly have a good thing going — Paige knows the business and Moore knows how to effectively pilot this horse, staying largely out of her way and letting the mare wrap herself around each barrel. What really impresses us, however, is Moore’s lack of left stirrup!

That’s one cowgirl who didn’t ignore leg day… or core day, or any of her training and preparation for the biggest rodeo of them all. Moore and Paige are sitting 11th in the average right now due to an unfortunate tipped barrel after Round 6, but in rodeo, anything can change quickly.
