Wow, people are REALLY going all-out for freestyle reining routines these days…
The All-American Quarter Horse Congress’ freestyle reining has become a spectacle unto itself, with tickets usually selling out every year. Entries perform a freestyle reining to music of their choice, usually with costumes and sometimes even with props and supporting casts. Audience response is taken into account with the overall scoring, so it definitely helps to have an engaging performance that gets the crowd excited.
For this year’s freestyle reining, one entry — Jacob Kamm — set the bar pretty high. For real, watch this video all the way to the end and see how Jacob interpreted that little “engaging performance” detail…
