Introducing WARHorses at Equestrians Anonymous

Horse Nation has teamed up with Women of Age Riding Horses, or WARHorses, to present a brand-new community on our forums at Equestrians Anonymous!

DISCUSS

Within the equestrian community, there are an unlimited number of smaller populations: western riders and English riders, OTTB lovers, competitors and recreational riders, amateurs, professionals, enthusiasts … it takes all kinds of kinds to make up this horse world, and while we celebrate all the different facets of the industry, it’s also nice to have a place to meet and converse with members of your own community.

That’s why we’ve teamed up with Women of Age Riding Horses — or WARHorses, for short — to create the WARHorses community at our forums at Equestrians Anonymous!

WARHorses is the brainchild of Melanie Eberhardt, who is best-known to the Horse Nation community for her Nickerdoodles cartoons. She created WARHorses to build an online home for the “older” rider, a place where riders of age could share their stories, swap advice and support one another through their riding journey, whether they’re lifelong horse lovers or just starting out in the saddle. (The community is mostly women, but men are certainly welcome as well!)

The WARHorse forum at Equestrians Anonymous will provide a moderated discussion place for riders of age to gather: whether you want to discuss a problem you’re trying to overcome with your horse or figure out the best place to order breeches over the internet, you’ll be able to find plenty of riders like yourself with whom to swap ideas! All users are welcome to start their own threads or join an existing discussion.

How to get started:

  • Click the “FORUM” link on the Horse Nation header at the top of this page (or click here)
  • Register at the top of the Equestrians Anonymous forums: you can either link to an existing Facebook account, or create a new username for yourself
  • Scroll down to the WARHorses forum and take a look
  • Say hello at the Introduce Yourself thread!

It’s that simple! We hope you’ll join us at WARHorses at Equestrians Anonymous — the reins are in your hands.

Go riding!
