Photo Challenge: 16 Horses in Summer’s Last Flower Garden
Nothing improves a landscape like a horse.
For this week in August’s final days, we wanted to see your shots of horses among the flowers of late summer: Some of you sent us dreamlike photos of horses at liberty among the wildflowers while others had cute shots of their steeds actually sampling summer’s bounty as a snack. Any way our readers chose to take the prompt, we think you’ll agree: nothing sets off a lovely bouquet of late summer flowers in photography like a horse.

Krissy Wejrowski: I took this pic from the back of my boy, Haze…he likes to eat the flowers…er, dandelions! Haha!

Natalie Leighton: This is the late summer foliage of California!! I am the photographer and that is my sexy husband on my Azteca, Patron.

Ruthanne Hanion: One I shot at a friends barn. The horses got loose and busted into the neighbors property, I grabbed a few shots before they rounded them up.
Go riding!
