Fantasy Farm Tuesday: The Weirdest Virtual Tour You’ll Ever Take

It’s a virtual tour! Or a mystery! No, it’s a romance! A comedy, maybe? All we know is we CAN’T STOP WATCHING IT.

This week for FFT, we’re doing something just a wee bit different. When you find something this bizarrely charming, it would be cruel not to share it.

While this historic gem in Monticello, Georgia is no longer available to satiate the southern belle in all of us, the YouTube video promoting it absolutely is, and it will quench your thirst for hilarity better than a tall glass of sweet tea on a hot JU-ly day.

I just have so many questions about the plot and creation of this short masterpiece. Where does one get boots that are part tall boot, part cowboy boot? Who is the mysterious girl jumping in the old couple’s arena? Wasn’t it more work for the woman in a business blouse to set up a trail of roses and love notes than it was to just groom her own horse? Why couldn’t the mysterious girl groom the horse? Or the guy at the end who appears to actually BE a groom? This thing has more plot holes than Harry Potter, and yet, not unlike Harry Potter, I still want to see it all again.

Also, it cannot be denied that this property is truly one-of-kind. The home was built in 1840 and has been remarkably preserved, including the original full wraparound southern porch. (SWOON!) It also has the original carriage house, barns, and pecan groves. (Seriously. Pecan groves. This house is more southern than pond fishin’ barefoot off a red dirt road.)

We’ll be sure to let you know if this sweet little number ever comes back on the market. Or if these realtors ever make another virtual tour with equine-related plot twists.

Go Riding.
