Fantasy Farm Wednesdays: Oregon Oceanfront Ranch

Two words: OCEAN. VIEW.

Each Hump Day we bring you a fabulous horse property that’s currently on the market and just one good Powerball Ticket  away from being your reality. This week: An Oregon Ranch where you can see the ocean. From the BARN.

I’m always a sucker for Craftsman homes, but a Craftsman home on horse property? NEXT TO THE OCEAN? This is my actual dream. There are more than 80 acres of idyllic pastures, a beautiful barn and guest house, and incredible details in the horse and human spaces.

The property is currently known as Vista Ridge Farm, and has been home to an elite Hanoverian breeding program for the past several years, so they certainly weren’t going to have anything less than the best for their mares, foals, and stallions.

The View

This would be an incredible property without the view, but throw in those Oregon beach waves, and WOWZA.

The Barn

This gorgeous interior features a stunning lacquered wood, cobblestone floors, and vintage sliding stall fronts fit for a king. I could roll a LOT of polo wraps here without ever complaining.

The barn also has a built-in guest house for the convenience of anyone who likes to sleep closer to their ponies than they would most people.

But it’s not just the people’s conveniences that are winning at Vista Ridge: There are eleven green Oregon turnouts, which feature beautiful sturdy fencing, lush grass, and four of which include a loafing shed for all walks of weather.

As a horse person, I admit it could be easy to get wrapped up in the grass nutrition content and worrying about stall mat options and then eating a handful of pretzels before climbing onto a cot for the night, but since we’re dreaming, I’m definitely not going to say no to indulging myself in the absolutely amazing…

House Interior

The Craftsman details in this house spectacular. This blue kitchen is every selfish culinary dream I ever had for myself. It’s not for everyone, necessarily, but it’s definitely for me.
