Festive Pony In a ‘Foursie’ Is Breaking the Internet

And with good reason, because he’s REALLY FREAKING CUTE. Ascot Racecourse’s latest stunt has jettisoned “Daffy” and his “foursie” into instant stardom.

Ascot Racecourse of Berkshire, England is holding a special Christmas racing weekend on December 18 and 19, 2015. To celebrate the season and encourage racegoers to don their own holiday-inspired wear, Ascot created the “foursie,” or pony onesie, in what might be the world’s most adorable marketing stunt to date.

Enter Daffy the pony:

Whether Daffy’s custom-made foursie will inspire Ascot racegoers to deck themselves in their finest winter outfits, or encourage them to wear Christmas-print Snuggies remains to be seen. Sorry, ponies of the world —  Daffy’s duds are one-of-a-kind.

Daffy is a resident at UK-based Animal Dramatics, which trains and provides animal actors for film and television. Owner and trainer Jackie Rowberry stated in Ascot’s release, “I love the fact that Ascot has created a special foursie for Daffy so that he can get into the Christmas spirit. He’s loved all the attention and is quite the envy among his stable buddies!”

Nick Smith of Ascot Racing explained, “We wanted to do something fun and festive to mark the upcoming Christmas Racing Weekend which is always a great occasion. Racegoers often turn out in their Christmas outfits and we raise a lot of money for local charities too.”

If you’re in the UK and have been inspired to attend Ascot’s Christmas racing weekend, tickets for general grandstand admission start at £15.

Go Daffy. Go Ascot. Go riding!
