Absorbine Photo Challenge: HN Readers Give Thanks

Thanksgiving is about much more than a big dinner.

There are so many facets of working with horses that make us who we are, from quiet moments in the evening still of the barn to the greatest championship titles we work so hard to earn. For this week’s Thanksgiving edition of the Absorbine photo challenge, we wanted to see what part of your horse life you were the most thankful for, and as usual, our readers delivered with beautiful images and tributes to their horses and horse people playing a central role in their lives.

This week’s randomly-selected winner of the Absorbine prize pack is…

Mekaela McKanna: "I'm thankful for my amazing boyfriend who let's me drag him on all kinds of horse adventures and puts up with my crazy showing season."

Carleigh Simpson: "I am thankful for Family supporting my crazy commitment to my fur-baby(and sometimes fur-babies). My lovely hubby (top and bottom left) for trecking out to the barn with me in all temperatures to take care of the horses and still keep in good spirits. -30 blizzard but the horses need a break from the icy paddock? No problem, bareback it is! I am also thankful for my dad (botton right) for not only supporting me my entire life with my horses but also being able to pick up almost any day in the year to haul my boy and I to shows, new barns, school or home! Without him, I cant imagine I would be where I am today."
