The word “eclectic” can be used to describe everything from music to clothing to food … to today’s ‘Best of Craigslist’ collection.
Seriously, though, we’ve got a little bit of everything in this collection: horses, yes, but also dogs, trailers, art, and a most curious “wanted” ad. Read on …
We’ll kick things off with some creative spelling — take this ad at face value and you may be a bit lost. From Fiona:
I’m Saling my black female riding hours $1250 and a white pony male for $750. Also have for sale sheep and goats.
We’re not entirely sure what’s going on in this sales photo, but we love it. From Megan:
Same here, actually — was this the best sales photo you could do? Doesn’t matter; that caption is killer. From Kaitlyn:
AQHA SHE HAS PAPERS SHE IS 15HH AN SHE has not been riding in a month but she still knows but i will trade for a 85 2stroke and 300
Is this that reverse psychology thing? Because I’m not sure how good of a sales pitch this is, otherwise. From Allie:
We’re not sure if this is a joke or not, but we don’t even care because it’s still amazing. From Stephanie:
Shes a really good moover. Great cow sense. Sire won thousands. Granddaughter of Sweetthing. Not spooky. Cutting horse. Great with kids. 3yrs old.
This one is a bit of a head-scratcher. From Samantha:
I have a pony mare 7yrs old. She is all white and a great girl but needs someone special to care for her.
A good proper home is a must she has been a victim of a shooting and can only walk on 3 legs. She was our show and driving pony I can no longer care for her my health has made it difficult for me as the weather gets colder. She is an easy keeper no grain required just hay we give grain to her as a treat you will have to be careful not to let her get over weight. If I cant find a good home for her in the next week I will have no choice but to put her down PLEASE if you can take my pretty sweet girl id be grateful. I can haul her locally for free but must be in the Lafayette area please email THANK YOU
… but not as much of a head-scratcher as this horse, whose ailments can apparently be cured by feed. From Martha:
And then things got weird. From Megan: “Not really a horse ad, but I’m just trying to figure out how the dog got in the feeder.”
Oh boy, this one is sure to be a treat. It’s fun if you pretend it’s not a spelling error. From Lynn: “Sadly it was removed from ebay before I could check out the details!”
Who said you can’t find anything fancy on Craigslist? From Lynn:
Is Very beautiful Mare and fowl. no chips or cracks 13″H x 14″ W x 5″ D approx. Has Crackle Glaze.
We’ll close out this week’s collection with this very mysterious advice-wanted post. Trust us, it’s worth it to read the whole thing. From Catherine:
