SpectraVET Performance of the Week: Michael Jung’s Burghley XC

Go Sam, go!

Tthe premier CCI4* event of the autumn took place in the UK this past weekend, crowning Michael Jung and La Biosthetique Sam FBW as the 2015 champions. Formally titled the Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials, the event is also nicknamed “big, bad Burghley” and is ranked among the top six events in the world, notorious for a challenging cross-country phase.

However, Jung and “Sam” made the rigorous course look like child’s play:

When the course toured everyone through this lovely bridge/castle/aqueduct.

When Michael and Sam made this look like a simple crossrail.

Same thing with this piddling little fence.

Oh yeah, and this tiny ditch.

When Michael and Sam galloped right by the world’s creepiest milkmannequin.

And the veritable “Where’s Waldo” of the final fence. I’m loving the castle in the background with a lovely picnic scene that Michael and Sam are just smashing through, while being watched by what looks like a giant fiberglass Pilgrim.
