Jade – Maryland

“This sweet boy left Bowie Training Center in December to become a part of a wonderful family. He is kind, easy going and safe to handle, but the other horses there are not kind to him. He is still needing time to recover and heal from his days as a racehorse. Jade raced 42 times and made over $160,000 during his career. He last raced on October 2, 2014. He was retired due to wear and tear on his ankles which made him extremely sore. This makes it necessary to give him time before becoming a trail and pleasure horse. Jade will make a wonderful family, recreational trail horse with his lovely temperament and good looks. He will be a solid family man. He just needs someone to offer him the life he deserves. His present family has to keep him separate from the other horses because they push him around and beat him up. This horse is just too sweet. Jade is 15.2 hands and 6 years old. ”

Wanna Apple – Maine

“Apple is going strong at twenty two years old. Only rehoming as I am going off to college in the fall. UTD shots and coggins, clips, trailers, stands for vet and farrier, goes barefoot and has Great Feet! Loves to jump, learning changes. Up until last fall I was taking her to cross country fields and hunter shows. She was jumping anywhere from 2’3” to 3′ or free jumping 3’6″/4′. A judge once told us “she could jump the moon!” Always gets her lead, never hits a rail. She has lots of show experience in the schooling, special, and low working hunters, always in the ribbons. Also shown at MHA pleasure shows. Apple will be happiest in a home where she will get to keep working and even do some light jumping. She has given lessons to 5 year olds and carried clueless teenagers. She knows her job and never fails to disappoint. I’ve had this girl for 5 years and she never ceases to amaze me! She has wonderful, smooth gaits, and a hardworking, sweet attitude. Suitable for a confident beginner or intermediate rider. FREE TO GOOD HOME, MUST GO.

Ruby is healthy, sound and is an easy keeper, easy breeder and has no problems foaling. She has had ALL colored foals. We have been breeding quality Pony of the Americas for 30 years and are now cutting back on our stock as we are reaching retirement. Ruby is a beautiful mare with excellent conformation. Her last foal was a bit too tall for the POA breed and that puts Ruby on the list of cut-backs for us. She is FREE to a good home.”
