Equestrians Anonymous: This Week’s Top 5 From the Forums

We’ll bring you the five best conversations from our forums each week. Check out Equestrians Anonymous and let your voice be heard!

DISCUSS

If you haven’t been a regular on Horse Nation’s forum board Equestrians Anonymous, then you’re really missing out. Picture the tack room or the barn aisle at the end of the day: You’re hanging out with your barn buddies, speaking that magical language of equestrian that no one at home will ever understand, and it hits you that you are among your people. That’s what Equestrians Anonymous is like, and here are the top five conversations going on right now:

1. “Cal Chrome at Royal Ascot” (Racing)

Unfortunately, the big chestnut was scratched at Ascot, but that hasn’t slowed down the conversation: differences between American and European styles, whether or not Chrome is in over his head, and where he’s headed from here are all up for discussion!

2. “Kiddo” (Brag Board)

KariAM shared some photos of her young son in a recent lesson (that leg though!) Have a talented young rider in your life you want to brag on a little bit? Join the discussion!

3. “Perpetually resting hind foot” (Horse Health)

What are your thoughts: is a perpetually-resting hind foot a sign of soreness or pain? Or are we just coincidentally always seeing this horse when he happens to be resting?

4. “If you could try any discipline, what would you choose?” (Ask Anything)

Thought experiment time: if you could try out any discipline you’re not currently riding, what would you choose? (Bonus points if you find a way to actually do it.)

5. “Introduce us to your horse(s)!” (Brag Board)

New users, start here! Introduce yourselves, and share the details on the horses in your life. Photos are definitely welcome!

So what are you waiting for? Join any of these conversations, or start your own–we’re all crazy horse people here.
