What’s it like to ride with The Master? Training Session riders Carly Williams and Bowers Cone stop by to reflect on their experience.
We were honored to have two participants from last week’s 2015 George Morris Horsemastership Training Sessions join us for last night’s livestreaming roundtable discussion. The roundtable was moderated by HN writers Carla Lake and Amanda Uechi Ronan, who’ve been glued to the Training Sessions for the past week and were eager to pose a few questions to the riders. In addition to wowing us with their in-the-saddle skills, both Carly and Bowers proved poised and thoughtful as they reflected on the opportunity to be coached by a legend of the sport.
Note: The audio starts getting wonky midway through the video, so apologies in advance for that. As I remarked to Bowers while the video of one of his jump rounds played, with George Morris’ voice echoing in the background, “This is probably what your dreams are going to sound like for a while!”
In case you missed it, here’s a video recording of the Session:
Thanks again, Carly and Bowers. We look forward to watching your riding careers develop and wish you all the best in 2015!
Go Dubarry. Go Riding!
