Chez Philip: Episode 1 of the Official WEG Talk Show

Silly hats, Italian reiners, and Carl Hester’s show prep routine–Episode 1 of Chez Philip has a little something for everyone to kick off the World Equestrian Games.

In the official talk show of WEG, Philip Ghazala interviewed Carl Hester and Gareth Hughes, both members of the Great Britain dressage team, who commented on the trot-up, how they prepare for competition, and how they’re feeling about the first day. Later, reiner Mandy McCutcheon shares what it’s like to compete internationally as an amateur rider, and the US reining  Chef d’Equipe Jeff Petska comments on how the sport has grown increasingly competitive as riders from more and more countries join the sport.

But you also won’t want to miss roving reporter Sienna’s coverage of the opening ceremony. Highlights:

Sienna: May I just say your suits are pristine? How long may they stay like that?

These legs:

Sienna: Nice legs. You don’t get to show them very much in jumpers…nice to get them out.

Love it.
