SpectraVET Performance of the Week: Juan Matute, Jr. and Don Diego Ymas
This 16-year-old Spanish dressage phenom took silver at the 2014 Wellington Nations Cup CD103* last week.
What were you doing at age 16? Probably not dominating the U.S. dressage small tour. In addition to his successful performance in the individual Nations Cup competition, the Wellington-based teen led Team Spain to a bronze medal finish.
From the USEF Network: “Juan Matute Jr. helped put Team Spain in a good place the 2014 Wellington Nations Cup CDIO3* sponsored by Stillpoint Farm with this ride aboard Don Diego Ymas. It was the best ride of the class, and one of two top three finishes for Team Spain.”
