Lynn sent us this one for a 14.4 hand horse:
OBO – Registered Dun/Tobiano Gelding (17 YO) 14.4 hh ($1200.00) – Beau is a great horse, very smart with so much potential and tons of energy. He needs someone who has more time to spend with him. Trailers, solid feet, great on trails, gets along with ALL horses! My hope is to find him a good home where he will receive more attention. I also have tack: saddle, blanket, hackamore, etc. (make offer) or for both $1,400.
Reader Tamara R. sent us this one and writes, “She wants a free horse because her’s was stolen while she was out of state? Sounds like a GREAT situation to give a horse to.”
I really want another horse, because mine was stolen while i was out of state a while back. I am looking for a horse that is prefferably broke and i also would prefer a horse no older than 10…. Thank you.

Megan B. sent us this one:
Howdy, First off I want to explain that I am not a Killer buyer, let me repeat that I AM NOT A KILL BUYER.. I am just in the market for Medicine Hat Paints or Bald Face Paints- QHs. I prefer Mares but will accept a few geldings, They do not have to be registered, But atleat 14.2 Hands or taller. Must be Healthy as they will be used alot. Preferrably broke but not necessary. Must have a good mind, I dont need any crazy wild eyed horses. I dont mind spirited horses just no crazies. I wont pay for centimental value. If your horse means that much to you just keep it. I dont want to mean or nasty about this . I just want to be honest. I will pay fair market value. I know horses as I have had them my whole life and I do my own breaking and training. I know what most horses are worth. I offer alot of pasture, an Indoor arena and a barn full of Alfalfa Grass mix. as I said earlier they will be used almost daily so soundness is a must. If you think you have what I am looking for please send me a brief description and a few pictures and your asking price. If I am interested in what you have I will contact you and make a deal, I will cover all brand inspections and Coggins and Health Papers. Will pay CASH on the spot. I beleive that to be more than fair. I look forward to hearing from you. Thanks.
Along the same lines:
I’m looking for a cheap horse, looking for quarter horses or maybe a walking horse. Not looking to pay a lot, doesn’t have to be registered. Or broke. I prefer one kinda young. I do not want at 20 year old horse. Thanks, God bless!

Readers, if you run across an “interesting” Craigslist ad in your Internet wanderings, send it our way! Email the link to [email protected]. Who knows–maybe you’ll help connect an unwanted horse with a safe, loving home.
