Days are getting shorter. The air is starting to get brisk. SmartPak catalogs are arriving in your mailbox, just in time for some surreptitious dog-earing of pages and maybe even circling choice items and sizes for any (hint hint) interested parties in your household.
To be honest, when I received my SmartPak catalog a couple weeks ago, I felt like they had read my mind. I’ve never understood why equestrian brands didn’t partner with Under Armour, considering practically every other sport does. Well it took them long enough, but I guess mind reading is a bit of a tall order, even for SmartPak.
The Under Armour Perfect Jacket
Well, with a name like the “Perfect Jacket,” you know it has to be good. The jacket looks like a simple fleece, but comes with all sorts of fancy features designed for riders, like a zipper garage. What is a zipper garage, you ask? Well, I had no idea either, but I found out it’s a little flap to “park” your zipper and keep it from cutting your chin in the case of a fall. Pretty smart, SmartPak.
Of course it wicks sweat, repels rain, keeps your barn stank from getting deadly (with antimicrobial agents) and reflects for visibility during twilight rides. And it hits at hip length so you’re not showing off your pumpkin pie gut when you’re in two-point.
