Video: FEI European Vaulting Championships

When it comes to equestrian sports, vaulting takes the crazy cake. Here are some highlights from the European championships last week.

The competition took place in Austria, drawing 215 athletes, 60 lungers and 105 horses from 17 nations.

First up, the Senior squad competition, in which reigning champion Germany narrowly edged out Austria and France for the win. Is that the Eurythmics “Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)” I hear? Here are the winning performances of the top three teams:

And the Junior squad competition, where Germany again topped Austria and Italy. I love the Cats soundtrack, with accompanying costumes!

Austria made a comeback in the Senior Pas-de-Deux, performing to Gotye’s “Heart’s A Mess” from the Great Gatsby soundtrack.
