Video du Jour: Rabbit Grand National

Yesterday we showed you cats doing dressage. Now we’re back with bunnies show jumping at the finals of the Rabbit Grand National.

HN reader Bridget Donnelly shared this video of the 2011 Burgess Premier Small Animal Show Rabbit Grand National Final on our Facebook page. It’s fascinating how high the rabbits can jump in comparison to their own body size.

I also found a video from the 2012 Rabbit Grand National, and it looks like rabbit jumping is a very popular spectator sport. People are crowded 10 deep around the jumping lane, and photographers are snapping photos with very expensive looking cameras. Who knew?
