Video du Jour: Beezie Madden’s winning jump-off at the Rolex FEI World Cup Final

For the second year in a row, an American cleaned house on the world’s biggest show jumping stage in Gothenburg, Sweden.

The week’s action boiled down to a heart-pounding jump-off on Sunday between London Olympic gold medalist Steve Guerdat on Nino des Buissonnets (Switzerland) and Beezie Madden on Simon (USA). Steve’s pedal-to-the-metal, turn-and-burn round resulted in two costly rails; Beezie took a more conservative approach and kept all the rails up for the win.

Other U.S. finishers included McClain Ward on Super Trooper de Ness (5th), Reed Kessler on Cylana (10th), Karl Cook on Jonkheer Z (11th), Katie Dinan on Nougat du Vallet (16th), and Charlie Jayne on Chill R Z (17th).

I love this video of the final jump-off between Guerdat and Madden–you can feel the tension in the air!!!
