Weekly Watering Hole, Presented by Horse Quencher

Each week our friends at Horse Quencher sponsor an interview with a top rider. Today we meet Kristi Nunnink, who is competing at Rolex this week aboard her striking gray mare R-Star.

Samantha Clark caught up with Kristi and her husband Randy yesterday at the Kentucky Horse Park to talk about their epic journey from California to Lexington and discuss Kristi’s goals for the weekend.

Last year, Kristi and R-Star completed two four-stars and jumped clear around the Burghley cross-country course. This pair most recently finished third in Advanced at Twin Rivers at third in the Galway Downs CIC3* last month. It sounds like Kristi is looking for a competitive finish this week–top 5, she says. Pedal to the metal, girls, you can do it!

A big thanks to Samantha for sharing this interview.

Go Kristi and R-Star!

Horse Quencher is available at Rolex–go see Karla at the Thornhill Enterprises booth to bring some home with you!

Horse Quencher is a mix of grains and flavorings that, when added to water, make horses eagerly drink. You’ll find Horse Quencher especially helpful for travel, competitions, cold weather and illnesses, and also great to pair with electrolytes to aid in recovery after exercise. And, since it’s made of all-natural ingredients found in most horse feeds, you can be sure Horse Quencher is safe for competition.
