Shake’n Fork ‘Oh Crap’ Moment of the Day
Falling off your horse is one thing. Falling off your horse in front of hundreds of millions of viewers is another. That’s what happened to this cavalry guardsman.
The scene is William and Kate’s royal wedding in 2011. The main event takes place at around 0:56 seconds.
Poor guard–he’s never going to live that one down!
According to the Daily Mail‘s account of what happened, the horse lost his footing while trotting round a turn. The cavalry guardsman valiantly tried to hang on to the horse’s reins as the royal couple passed by, but the horse broke free and bolted up the road toward its stable.
“Kate, who is allergic to horses, looked shocked and a little worried, but William calmly reassured her,” the article says.
Today’s “Oh Crap” Moment of the Day is by request from Breanne Long–good one, Breanne!
