New Year’s Eve Morning Feed from SmartPak

It’s our last Morning Feed of the year! We wanted to use this opportunity to give a great big shout-out to HN’s sponsor-who-started-it-all, SmartPak.

A year ago, Horse Nation was exactly one month away from going live–and John and I both were kind of freaking out. We had a hazy idea of what we wanted Eventing Nation’s new sister site to be and what we wanted it to look like, but there were so many question marks surrounding the project. Would it be well received?

Another mystery: Who was going to pay for it? I put feelers out amongst a few companies and was invariably met with the same response: “Call back in a few months when you have some reader numbers to show us.”

SmartPak, on the other hand, was ready to come on board from Day 1. They already had a great relationship with Eventing Nation, and I suppose they figured that if John was behind this new project, it would be a worthwhile one, too.

As we close the door on 2012, it’s clear that Horse Nation has evolved into everything we’d hoped and more. Everyday is a new adventure, and readers are loving every moment. In the last 30 days alone, we’ve had over 50,000 unique visitors to the site from all over the world. In the past year, we’ve had over 1.3 million page views.

We’re eternally grateful for SmartPak’s generous support–what an amazing company. They’re my go-to source for horse “stuff” and supplements, and I hope they’re yours as well. From fantastic products to second-to-none customer service to their enthusiastic and genuine support of the equestrian community, it’s no wonder they’ve taken the horse world by storm.
