Flex’n Fork™ ‘Oh Crap’ Moment of the Day

Have you ever encountered a drop fence so big it felt like you were leaping off the end of the earth? Just in time for, well, the end of the earth, here are a couple of our favorite drop disasters.

Both are from England’s Burghley Horse Trials, known for its heart-in-your-throat cross-country obstacles.

Here’s Andrew Nicholson a.k.a. Mr. Stickability nearly biting it at in 2000. Amazingly, he went on to win the event!

In 2011 Simone Deitermann was leading after the dressage when she got jumped loose down a big drop–unfortunately, despite a patient horse and a valiant effort on her part, she wasn’t so lucky.
