Monday Morning Feed from SmartPak

One of my favorite parts of the SmartPak Blog are the Success Stories, submitted by horse owners who’ve had so much success using SmartPak supplements that they just had to share!

• Sophie & Fig

“I fell in love with Fig the very first time I saw him at the Berkley track in California. I was looking for a horse to replace my retired Irish Sport Horse, and Fig had nice conformation, a wonderful walk and the cutest face ever. I bought him on the spot. Over the years, I’ve become more and more convinced that he’s my perfect match. He’s athletic, brave, scopey and careful, with a very strong, opinionated personality that always keeps me laughing. It hasn’t always been smooth sailing but we’ve accomplished so much together: we event to the Preliminary level, and we just started doing jumper shows, and he’s doing quite well. As a typical OTTB, Fig is fairly thin skinned and has had skin issues on and off for years. I decided to try SmartShine Ultra to see if it would help with his dry, flaky skin and dull coat. These days, his coat is super soft and shiny. Since starting the SmartShine Ultra, I also noticed that his nicks and cuts aren’t taking forever to heal like they used to. His skin is still sensitive, but I no longer have to cover him with lotions and sprays and painstakingly care for each little scrape. Thanks, SmartPak!”

“When I found Keeper, her feet were shelly and broken, had to be held together with acrylic, and she lost shoes on a weekly basis. “I purchased my beautiful sorrel show mule, Call Me the Fireman, aka Beamer, in February of 2010. We are on our 3rd show season together and have already won many Championships and All Around Performance Titles in English, Western, and Halter classes. Beamer is an amazing guy. People say he looks like a pretty Quarter Horse with long ears! I’ve competed against horses and mules with him, and he stands out in every show pen.

Most of all, Beamer is my friend. He’s a very curious creature that eats his ropes, unties himself, chews up blankets, picks up his feed tub and carries it around, etc. I love him with all my heart, and he loves me back. I chose SmartPak because Beamer needs the best care to keep him healthy and sound, and I’ve always loved SmartPak’s products and terrific customer service. Mules live longer that horses, and I want his big body to hold up under the strain of hauling and competing.
