Stats: 4-y/o gray gelding, 16 hands
Location: Charlestown, WV
Description: Very attractive 4-year-old, 16-hh grey gelding by Valiant Nature and out of a Fortune Prospect mare. Lightly raced with only 13 starts. This cute fellow just has a case of the “slows” usually ending up in the back of the pack. His trainer states that he is sound but just needs to find a new career path. Great prospect.

Stats: 3-y/o chestnut mare, 15.3 hands
Location: Charles Town, WV
Description: If you like redheaded mares, you’ll love this pretty and very fancy 3-year-old 15.3-hh chestnut filly! She is by Desist and out of a Rage mare. Beautiful hunter type conformation. This girl was ready for her first race the same evening we took her picture, and ended up finishing sixth her first time out. Her trainer said her workouts had been quite slow so she just may not have the makings of a racehorse–but with her conformation and looks, she should be a great prospect for other disciplines! Nice clean legs.

Description: Sound, no vices. Bow Tie is a nice solid horse who spent his career racing on turf and is retiring sound. Personality wise, he is outgoing, likes attention, and is easy to work around. This classy horse would be suitable for any discipline.

Location: Chester, WV
Description: This is a beautiful mare who is covered in gorgeous dapples. Violin appears to be sound but her owner states she can be nervous. This mare has a very nice pedigree for sport and seems to be a pretty nice mover too! She does weave mildly in her stalls but has no other vices. Pictures do not do her justice. Located on her trainer’s farm just minutes from MNR.

Stats: 3-y/o bay mare, 16+ hands
Location: Northeast
Description: WOW. If you don’t think this 3-year-old filly is a looker, this CANTER volunteer failed at taking photos to do her justice. She has some serious presence. She is 16H+ and still growing. Her trainer says that she’s sound and ready to go, but she has experienced some soreness behind immediately after racing (high up hind-end soreness, not lower leg issues) and her connections would rather explore a second career for her than continue to push this young, growing girl. She has been looked at by a vet who saw no evidence of a specific issue and her trainer emphasized that she works out of it / is comfortable again within days of racing.
