Friday Morning Feed

Yesterday evening Horse Nation was subjected to what felt like an avalanche of sad news when we learned of the untimely passing of Olympic event rider Amy Tryon.

We also learned that George Morris will be undergoing treatment for prostate cancer this spring–wishing you a swift recovery, George.

Both are stark reminders of the fragility of life and health, and reminders that we should never take either for granted.

Take a moment today–while you’re walking the dog, or riding your horse, or eating dinner with your family–to stop what you’re doing. Take a good look around. Try to wrap your head and heart around the ephemeral nature of everything that surrounds you, the fact that it’s not always going to be there. Be thankful that, for the time being, it is.

Go live your life.
