EN Today: Pony power
It’s not about how big you are, it’s about how big you THINK you are. Abby Gibbon reports on a trifecta of upper-level ponies that recently held their own with the big boys at Pine Top Horse Trials. From Abby:
A pony skipping around an advanced course is a thing of awe and glory. Which makes Courtney Sendak’s 14.3 hand Connemara’s name–Wil’Ya Love Me–almost a little rhetorical.
A few weekends ago at Pine Top, three descendants of the Connemara stallion Grange Finn Sparrow popped around the upper levels with nary a jump penalty.
Courtney & Wil’Ya Love Me added only time penalties to their score in their advanced debut, Megan Harris & Sparrow’s Owen were second in the Preliminary Rider, and Carol Kozlowski & Good Earth Bit O’Honey won the Open Preliminary-1.
