Performance of the Week: Private Practice

Victoria Colvin and Private Practice laid down a foot-perfect trip to win the Hunter Spectacular in Wellington — watch the round here!

For any hunter rider, winning the $100,000 USHJA/WCHR Peter Wetherill Palm Beach Hunter Spectacular is probably on the bucket list.

How about winning it five times?

Victoria Colvin brought home her fifth win in the Hunter Spectacular last weekend with 2018 USHJA International Hunter Derby Champion, Private Practice — her first win as a professional, and her first win since her incredible junior streak four years in a row from 2012-2015.

In the Hunter Spectacular format, 32 combinations contested a preliminary round, with the top 12 returning for a second round. Featuring some long approaches plus a bounce, the second round really let riders show off their horses to the best of their ability — and Private Practice was piloted to perfection by Colvin.

Lights, camera, perfection ✨ Did you see Victoria Colvin’s winning ride aboard Private Practice in #SaturdayNightLights at #WEF2019 this weekend?! Because, wow… This striking round is a MUST watch 👀

The three judges marked that round all in the 90s. Now THAT is a hunter course!

Go riding.
