Tuesday Video: When You Have Multiple Hobbies

… and it’s snowing out.

I feel this video. I’m lucky to live in a corner of the world that’s blessed with multiple bodies of freshwater that are perfect for summertime activities — my favorites are canoeing and stand-up paddleboarding, and we’ve recently begun teaching ourselves (with mixed results) how to sail. Simultaneously, I’ve got plenty of horses to keep in work on the farm.

So what’s a girl to do when she’s trying to do it all? Well, this is certainly one way to keep the sea legs going in the middle of the winter…

Safety disclaimer: use caution when driving any vehicle (yes, even a kayak) without solid shaves or fills. In the event this kayak really gets ripping at high speeds, the horse stopping quickly could send the boat flying right up into his haunches. While this looks like a lovely, well-broke animal, it’s hard to bombproof one’s horse for a kayak rear-ending him.
