Thursday Video: A Day In the Life of Frosted

How has Frosted, winner of the 2016 Metropolitan Mile, adjusted to life as a breeding stallion on Darley’s Jonabell Farm? We’ll let you watch this video and judge for yourself.

Certainly it’s not every Thoroughbred that ends up at the top of the game — which is part of what makes the sport so exciting, watching the true stars emerge as a season progresses. For a horse like Frosted, however, who was a key player in the exciting 2015 Triple Crown, a contender in the Breeders’ Cup and a record-setting winner of the Metropolitan Mile, we can expect to see a stallion career at stud.

Darley, whose American arm operates at Jonabell Farm in Kentucky, put forth this video showing what a day in the life of Frosted is like. As far as we’re concerned, Frosted seems to be living his best life:

Our favorite moment: saying hello to Bernardini, who looks totally unimpressed. I guess not everyone loves you as much as we do, Frosted.

Frosted covered his first book of mares this year, so keep an eye out in 2018 for plenty of photos and videos of baby Frosteds on the ground. We wish you all the best as a sire, Frosted, and hope your foals do you proud!

Go riding.
