The horse in this video is CLEARLY a saint for (mostly) putting up with its rider, who repeatedly takes on ridiculous challenges from her goading barn buddies with a smile on her face. (Except when she ate the spoonful of cayenne pepper–she wasn’t smiling then.)

I’m sorry, that girl has NO common sense. Yes, at least she had a helmet on, but that cinnamon challenge is much more than a funny dare. I saw the cinnamon challenge talked about on TV, and it is dangerous. A human cannot produce enough saliva to do anything but turn the cinnamon into a slug of paste that you can’t even swallow. Not to mention that when you aspirate the cinnamon it goes into your lungs where it damages the lining. The horse obviously has all the sense in this pair, by bucking her off when she tried to do a rein-back while facing its tail. I hope nobody copies her stunts. I’m surprised to see it on HN: it’s not funny, it’s just stupid, IMHO.
That’s why it was on Bad Riding Live Journal, emphasis on Bad Riding. I hadn’t heard about the cinnamon thing–I just assumed it was cayenne. The horse is definitely the sensible one!
