Best of Craigslist: Creative Marketing Edition

Sellers will try anything these days — well, some of them, anyway.

Creative hyperbole is the new marketing, according to a lot of these ads. Some of them, however, simply are what they are. Sounds like another round of Best of Craigslist to us!

We’ll kick off the creative ad section with this saddle, from Erin:

And then there are creative ads that probably weren’t supposed to be quite this creative … from Jaynie: “Found this on a local swap page…not sure what happened!”

This next ad may not be creative advertising so much as creative … dreaming. From Mekaela:

Hello! I’m an experienced horse lover looking to adopt these 3 breeds:
Arabian gelding, at least 3 years old.
Friesian gelding, at least 3 years old.
Gelding, 13- 14h, 3- 10 years old, broke & kid safe. Breed not an issue.
I prefer them to be at least green broke, with no bad habits, in good health & UTD on all vaccinations. I will also need them to be delivered, as my trailer was stolen at a horse show (I’m happy to pitch in for gas costs).
I guarantee a great, loving home & to prove it, I will provide you with info (phone # & address) of where the horses will be so that you can visit them anytime. I will also be happy to give you regular updates with photos.
I ask that you include pics of your horses as well as any info you can provide.
Thank you! 🙂

And these ads are just plain old horses for sale. You know … with a Craigslist twist. From Sarah:
